
Hope Johnson
Memories of my youth and my family
Hope Johnson was born in 1932. The students of the Ohio Wesleyan University interviewed her in 2011.
She tells the history of her family and memories of her youth spent in the countryside of the state. She describes the everyday life in a farm in the years of the great depression and WWII. In particular she provided a colourful description of the making of maple syrup and sausages, and explains how she get to learn how to cook, saw and accomplish other domestic duties.
