The courage of one's ideas
From the Albertina Academy, to the protests of the 70s, up to the Nursing School. Cinzia Tortola's journey is configured as a professional journey with a thousand facets. She defines herself as an "accidental nurse", after having had multiple work experiences in every field, under the advice of her husband she tries her hand at the Nursing School, an environment which, to its eyes, took on military data-style, "discipline, order and hierarchy". Since 1986 employed in nursing training, first at the Professional Nursing Schools and since 2000 at the University of Turin; for six years responsible for the training of all employees - healthcare and otherwise - of the former ASL TO4 (now ASL City of Turin). Since 2006 appointed head of the Degree Course in Nursing at the University of Turin. Retired for just over a year, she continues with her political activity, president of the Women's Council in her municipality of residence, works with an association for disabled people, but not only that, she enjoys her new status as a grandmother, together to her husband, on their sailing boat. The strongest message that he has always given and continues to give to current and future generations of nurses is: "have the courage of your ideas".

Knowledge of healing
Knowledge of healing
The archive “knowledge of Healing” was created with the aim of giving space to the narration of the places of healing from a particular point of view: that of the patients and the medical staff. A point of view which differs from the statistical one that official relations use to describe the medical field. This is how we find new stories about how throughout time the relationship between patients and medical staff has changed, how knowledge has helped to bring change by offering the chance to critically revisit the training methods nowadays used.
