Lidia Matticchio Bastianich è una rinomata cuoca, specializzata in cucina italiana e italoamericana. Nasce e trascorre l'infanzia nella città di Pula, fino a che in seguito all'esodo istriano all'età di 12 anni emigra con tutta la famiglia a New York, dove aprirà il primo ristorante nel 1971.
Oltre che cuoca, ha scritto diversi libri e condotto programmi televisivi di cucina. Attualmente è anche giudice di Junior MasterChef Italia.
