Quinto Chionetti

Dogliani Dolcetto wine

  Fifth of seven children, Quinto Chionetti begins to work the land as a boy after school. Immediately after the war, he carries on the wine farm of his father, in Dogliani, while the rest of the family decided for other jobs. Today Quinto Chionetti is an established producer known also abroad, especially in Canada, where he exports most of its production. At his side, after 67 years of marriage, he has his wife that has helped him  after the loss of their son in 1987. 
In the interview he talks about his relationship with the Dolcetto wine and his regret for a way to make wine that is fading away. 
 
This interview was collected for a research promoted by the Cuneo Province Council - Department of Agriculture, parks and forest and conducted by the University of Gastronomic Sciences in order to institute the archive Cuneo province agriculture between tradition and innovation.
