Ivano Rean Conto

Cortereggio Canavese Piattella Bean

 Ivano Rean Conto was born in 1976 and interviewed in 2013.
He is the person in charge of the Slow Food Presidium of the Piattella bean.
He tells about the cultivation of this famous bean that had almost disappeared. Starting in the 2000s, the work done over the years by farmers, schools, local restaurateurs and the people of Cortereggio has created the basis for institution of a Presidium in the village.
Ivano Rean Conto explains the history of the Presidium and its achievements that suggest a promising future for the community and its bean.
