Giacomo Conterno

Poderi Aldo Conterno

Barolo is a world renown wine production area with unique personalities and landscapes. However, Barolo is a miniscule area of 1 800ha and avg. 12 milj. bottles produced annually compared to other renown areas of example Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, Amarone or Burgundy.

How the story of Barolo is told and communicated by the producers to convey this strong image to the international audience and clientele, of whom few have the possibility to experience the landscape in person?

Giacomo Conterno (born 1973) of Poderi Aldo Conterno (origins in 1770 and as Poderi Aldo Conterno in Monforte d’Alba Bussia from the year 1969) tells his story and his version of the success of, not only great wine, but of great communication.

Life Stories

This section contains life stories: autobiographies and stories that don’t belong to any specific project. It is an archive where you can find recounts of completely different kinds of lives, which are virtually united by the fact that every human cycle finds its individual worth in the comparison with another. The narration becomes an experience for the interviewed subject, who finds himself through storytelling. Archive made with the contribution of the Piedmont Region.
