Lorenzo Vallarino Gancia

 Lorenzo Vallarino Gancia was president of the wine company of the same name until the 1990s. For over 30 years he was active in Confindustria, the Confederation of Italian Industry, and was first national president of its Young Industrialists group. He then became vice president of Confindustria in charge of external relations and president and chief executive officer of the company that owns the daily newspaper, Il Sole 24 Ore, and a member of the board of Riso Gallo, Fiorucci Moda, Buitoni Perugina, Ausimont and many other companies. For seven years he was president of FAI for Piedmont. After being named Grand'Ufficiale al merito della Repubblica Italiana (grand office of the order of merit), he became general consul of the Republic of Ecuador for Turin and Piedmont and is currently consul for Asti.
