
Vanghele Gubitta
An Italo-Ungarian-Greek woman born in Romania and living in Novara since 1951
Vanghele Gubitta was interviewed in 2011. She was born in 1947 in Costanta, in Romenia. Her family was Italian, Greek and Hungarian. She tells the history of his family, speaking about his grandfather and her father.
She left the country in the 1950s and flew to Italy. Arrived in Sicily, they moved to the North and to Novara. They were hosted together with other immigrants from Dalmatia and then moved in social housing later on. She points out the importance of the school as a place of integration. In recent years, she has launched a cultural association for Rumenian immigrants.
