Gina Biagini was born in Vellano, Pescia fraction, Jan. 16, 1923. His parents were farmers. He attended school in Vellano, in a class of 30/40 boys.
Gina talks about his childhood: in the village many were farmers, but many people, even women, worked at the paper mill, mostly to Magnani, a paper mill very important.
Gina recalls an incident of confrontation with her teacher, turned supporter of fascism. In winter there was no heat in the school and children's hands were cold. To recall the attention of the teacher slapped on those chilled hands and she took the inkstand from the counter and threw it back, "I spotted all her." The teacher put Gina out of the door on her knees, she began to scream, then sent for her parents and suspended for three months.  Gina remembers how hard it was to live under fascism and focuses on the episode of the delivery of faiths. Everyone in the family were afraid of the Germans: towards the end of the war they burned the houses, do not care if someone inside could not save themselves.
