Colombian delegate at Terra Madre 2010
Andrés Montes is interviewed as a member of the colombian delegation in Terra Madre in 2010. He shares his motivation to participate in this event and how it is interesting for his own personal experience.
He explains his work as an organic producer of vegetables and dairies at 3000 m above sea level, after having decided to go back to farm life in the countryside leaving Bogota, his hometown, behind. It is for three years now that he participates in this farmers market started by a group of diverse local producers to sell directly their own products, named "Mercado Organico Consciente y Solidario".
Self-producing food is seen as a way to achieve personal autonomy and it is making an always increasing number of people to go back to peasants life, also in Colombia.
