Francesco Garelli was born in 1928 and interviewed in 2013 for the Granaries of Memory.
In the interview, he talks about his youth. He remembers the days when he attended the school in Alba, and his work with his brother and mother in a bakery. His experience of WWII is connected with the death of his brother on the Russian front, the sale of the bakery and his work as a brick layer. In the post-war period he became a trucker, a profession he continued until retirement.
