Agriculture in Cuneo between tradition and innovation
Agriculture in Cuneo between tradition and innovation
The testimonials of fruit growers and vine growers, beekeepers and breeders, help us sketch the variegated patchwork of agriculture in Cuneo. The memories told are particularly relative to the choices of youths who in past years have opted for turning back to agriculture as a consciously chosen job. What made a big difference was the ability to innovate between new knowledge and past traditions. The archive itself is enriched- thanks to a dialogic relationship between generations- by some interviews to elderly farmers who documented the knowledge of their generation and the way in which they significantly contributed to the agricultural and economical development of the territory. Research promoted by the Province of Cuneo- Agriculture, Parks and Forests sector.
