Giulio e Lorenzo Piacentino
From architects to farmers
Lorenzo and Giulio Piacentino, after graduating in architecture, decided to produce wine. They have done it for two years, in a modern winery on the hills of Barbaresco area. There they grow Nebbiolo grapes intended precisely to Barbaresco wine.
The building, designed by their father, also an architect, is a fine example of low environmental impact building and, most importantly. As they comment, it is alsofunctional and non-dispersive. In the interview the two brothers lead us in the cellar and in their vineyards. The plantspreviously belonged to their grandparents, ideally the founders of the young company.
This interview was collected for a research promoted by the Cuneo Province Council - Department of Agriculture, parks and forest and conducted by the University of Gastronomic Sciences in order to institute the archive Cuneo province agriculture between tradition and innovation.
