Massimo Berruti

A champion of Pallapugno

Massimo Berruti, born in Rocchetta Palafea in 1948, was an Italian champion of pallapugno, winning for 6 times the Italian champtionship between the 1970s and '80s. He is the third best player of all time after, Franco Balestra (6 title) and  Augusto Manzo, (8 titles) and Felice Bertola (15 titles). The latter was his historic adversary.
After numerous injuries (including a thrombosis in his right arm that risked his death), he decided to leave the sport. He dedicated his life to painting: a new successful career that made him  exhibit his works throughout the world.
