
Paola Sibille, "Ombra" the messanger

Interviewed in 2012,Paola Sibille was born in 1926 at Beinette. She recalls her childhood as the daughter of a socialist railway worker, who was send to Tenda, then to Saluzzo as a punishment by the Fascist State. She also relates when and why he decided to become a partisan and took “Ombra” as his partisan name. She narrates some episodes of his militancy and the tasks that came with it. She talks about her feminism consciousness, reconstructing the feverish days after the Liberation in Saluzzo. Finally she tells her difficult post-war life as a communist militant in Saluzzo, a christian-democratic city.
