The experience of a young farmer

Interviewed in 2012, Elisa Emma Pozzi, born in Milan in 1986, tells us about her experience as a young farmer. Elisa has studied at the American School of Milan until high school and then enrolled at the Faculty of Agriculture. The passion for the family farm was however the door to make her life choice: to continue the profession of his father, Dr. Marco Pozzi.
The farm located in the heart of the Agricultural Park of Southern Milan, spread over ??90 hectares. They are planted with corn and forage, that are used mostly for their herd. A small area is cultivated with rice.
The milk from their herd of 120 animals is sold directly to the public through a vending machine installed in an old barn renovated to this use. They also sell cheeses made with the milk of their cows, and rice.
They also work with Milan purchasing groups (GAS).
