Raoul Molinari
Identity and promotion of Langhe area
Interviewed in 2004, Raul Molinari, born in 1935, is the director of Enoteca Moscato in Mango. He has been one of the last "Bacialé", a middleman specialized in arranging marriages. He arranged dozens of marriages between Piedmontese farmers and women from Southern Italy.
The interview focuses on issues related to the development of the Langhe area: "identity" is the fundamental key-word. He stresses that without culture and knowledge of the geological, human and historic stratification of an area is impossible to promote it at the best.
