The band Malainteisa comes from Demonte, Italy. It perform traditional dances of Occitan culture. The band Mousieur De Rien from Mousieur De Rien, from Cuneo, Italy, plays the music of the perfomance that took place in Terra Madre 2010.
The dances performed by the Malainteisa are traditionally done during the agricultural festivals that marked the traditional rural calendar in Piedmont region.
