Traditional songs from High Irpinia
The Ortoincondotta plays traditional songs from High Alpinia, Italy. The performance took place in Turin, at Terra Madre 2008. The Ortoincondotta were created by Salvatore Salvatore and Lucio Lazzaruolo, who researched the traditional music in Carife, in High Irpinia region. In the research it was involved also a primary and a secondary school in the town. From this research project two CDs were recorded and was launched the project of cultivating a vegetable garden in the school.
