Maria Irene di Carpegna Brivio

An innovative project of permaculture

 In this interview conducted in 2012, Maria Irene di Carpegna Brivio, born in 1957,  tells us about Cascina Santa Brera. In the heart of the Agricultural Park, this old farmhouse offers 40 beds in spacious en-suite rooms, meeting rooms for cultural and recreational activities, a picnic area for parties to 'open training courses, and a shop where it is sold honey, vegetables, eggs and bread.
It has been since 1999 an organic farm named "Terra e Acqua", earth and water. The firm aims to revitalize the countryside protecting the framing tradition of the place and productive balance between environment and its inhabitants. 
For this reason they initiated a project of permaculture (sustainable use of the earth); a prject aimed at promoting biodiversity, in accordance with the natural resources for the settlement human.
