Pastoralism in Kosovo

Hajredin is from Kosovo born August 15th, 1969.  He was interviewed by the studens of the University of Gastronomic Sciences in 2013.

He grew up in a farming family and became a shepherd at eight years old.  He talks briefly about a cheese made with butter called "Djath i pamazitur" or "djath pa mazitë", the traditional cheese he made without butter is called  "djath i mazitur" and the yogurt  called 'Kos'. 

Today he is a civil engineer, but also works as a translator in Albania and insurer.

In the interview he also presents some aspects of the economic and political system in Yugoslavia.
