Mr. Vaschetti traces the history of the park. It was created by his decision to enchance the environment of part of his fields by transforming them into a natural park for migratory birds. In his work, he was motivated by his desire to bring the storks back to Italy, after they have disappeared for three hundred years from the country. 

He explains the life and migration cycles of the storks, and the reasons for their demise in the past.He talks also about other birds, including herons and cormorants.
