In this interview , Claudio Midulla outlines a profile of three main characters of Alpine folklore: the fayes, the servanots and fantines. These are borderline figures between human and nature who interact in various ways with muntain communities. They subvert the order of communitarian life, by subtracting objects, even children, or  teach people specific knowledge related to production processes or the care of the house.
Claudio Midulla points out the principal features of these mythical characters, explaining their importance in the way traditional communities understod and saw their world.
