Interviewed in 2011, Gionni Pruneti tells the story of Chianti region and his farm.
In particular he stresses the rural and farming tradition of the region that have become only recently a tourist destination. The key elements of the local economy were the olive trees and the olive oil.
He tells the history of his family. His grandfather, Gionni Pruneti, had been the largest producer of iris at an European level until 1996, when the company passed to his nephew . Today, the company's main products are iris and oil, saffron and a small amount of wine.
