Luis Ramon Batle Hermandez (1970), interviewed in 2012, is the cuban chef  of the restaurant Divino, L’Havana. He tells how he became chef with a grandmother’s story: “I had a passion for cooking since childhood and I always wanted to stay in the kitchen during preparations but my grandmother told me to go out because it was a place for women, not for me... but in the end my sisters became  architects and I became chef”. He speaks me about cuban cuisine: “it is not a tipical cuisine but it is composed by influences. It is developing and it can only grow through the chefs’ creativity and people who want to defend the Cuban cuisine”.
