Vittorio Giampietro Michele Ballari - Mariuccia Canavesio
From a farm to a factory
Interviewed in 2008, Mariuccia Canavesio (1934) and Michele Ballari (1931) are wife and husband and have worked as farmers and then as factory workers.
In the interview, firstly the wife tells the memories of her youth in Volvera; after the encounter with Michele she moves to Volveva. When the FIAT car firm bought the land of her farm she describes the transformations occurred in Volvera in the following decade.
Michele speaks of his youth and then read a short story written by his wife about traditional winter vigils.
The couple remembers his son that past away in a car accident and their work at Cofis, a supplier firm of FIAT, and then at FIAT.
