The lord of Garfagnana
In this interview, completed in 2010, Andrea Bertucci, born in 1950, tells us about the Osteria Vecchio Mulino. It was opened in the early years of the Twentieth century in Castelnuovo Garfagnana. For 25 years it was owned by Bertucci's family, who bought it from the previous owner from Sillicagnana. Originally, Il Vecchio Mulino was place where travelers could find some "comfort". It has become a place of wine tasting and quality food including all the best typical products. The environment has also remained the one of the beginning of the Twentieth century, with the old marble bar counter and high wooden shelves.
Andrea believes in his work and in research of high quality raw materials. He is also a taster of cheese (Onaf), wine (Onav) and grappa (Onag). He is also the leader of Garfagnana Slow Food convivium.
